ESSEX JUNCTION, V.T., Dec. 29, 2017 – Twinstate Technologies® has long been proud to partner with educational institutions throughout the Northeast – not only to provide excellent service but to also demonstrate how vital quality technology is to ensure functionality of K-12 and higher education organizations.
In 2017, Twinstate Technologies played an instrumental role in a large-scale district merger in the State of Vermont – Essex Town Schools and Essex Junction School, which included the Town of Westford.
“What were two distinct districts, Essex Junction School District and Essex Town School District, were on their way to becoming one to what is now Essex Westford Educational Community Unified School District,” says Chris Eisensmith, Vermont Sales Manager for Twinstate Technologies.
This merger was part of Act 46, which offers tax incentives to consolidate districts in Vermont. The Essex Westford Educational Community Unified School District which now consists of 10 schools, roughly 4,000 students and some 875 teachers were now in need of a seamless system to collaborate and reach goals effectively.
“Over the course of our partnership together, Twinstate was able to successfully add a more cohesive communications solution to what was already in use. This required an expansion of the already interconnected Essex Junction School’s voice and public address systems which now include all of the Essex Town locations. Our technicians worked to merge their network, central paging, install proper network cabling, create a unified voicemail system, and also ensure hardware and software updates were done among other collaborative solutions,” explained Eisensmith.
Mitel, a global leader in real-time business, cloud and mobile communications and trusted Twinstate partner for 40 years (Twinstate Technologies is a Mitel Top 50 Partner) is a favorite among schools no matter the size and academic level. Mitel makes it easy to enable seamless environments for collaboration and improves large campus capabilities with advanced monitoring, analytics and mass-notifications. Mitel is a Gartner Magic Quadrant Leader for Unified Communications (UC).
Twinstate not only strives to deliver the best in unified communications for K-12 but also customizes its products and services for colleges and universities all across the Northeast region to make the education process seamless for students, educators and staff alike.
Educational institutions look to Twinstate for other essential services required on campuses today. Clocks, bells and paging are critical and typically one of the first concerns educational leaders ask about. Schools cannot operate accordingly without reliable bells and clocks to keep students on schedule in a K-12 environment. Likewise, a school is incomplete without a proper paging system that can easily be heard throughout the campus. Twinstate offers customers a tailored technology framework to improve response time, increase network stability and provide reliability.
